in 2023 we were successful in gaining funding to do an outreach project in Immingham the police crime commissioner awarded us funding for this work which aims to raise awareness of the available youth activities available in the area and to enable us to identify any gaps in provision or any barriers to accessing activities. A team of youth workers go out to the areas that have been identified as hot spot areas for ASB and they engage with the young people to encourage them to engage in positive activities after only the first 3 months an improvement in anti social behaviour was seen and attendance at activities increased. Gaps identified were boxing and netball which were set up very quickly through partnership working and these are now running in the community. The young people have ideas that they feel are needed in the town, a teen shelter, skate Jamm, park extension and lights, toilets at the park, a football kick around area and a youth cafe. These ideas will take alot more work and have complex issues regarding them they will require funding and we will be researching them to identify if we can possibly achieve these.
