Meet the One Voice Trustee’s

Our Trustees play a key role at One Voice Community, providing strategic leadership, guidance and oversight to ensure we continue to deliver on our mission and make a positive difference in the communities we serve.

As volunteers, they bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion, helping to shape the future of the organisation while ensuring we remain accountable, sustainable and focused on the needs of our community.

We are proud to introduce the dedicated individuals who generously give their time and expertise to support One Voice Community.

Kev – One Voice Trustee and Chair

Hello everyone, I’m Kevin, Chair of One Voice — That basically means I’m the one trusted to keep things moving, keep things positive, and occasionally keep the biscuits stocked at
meetings (arguably the most important job of all).

I’m a local lad (well, since I was 4) who grew up here, went to Immingham Comp, played football with my mates on Church Park and Roval Drive. Mind you, I do have to confess that I did escape for 22 years for a career in the Royal Air Force but that
pull to come back was always there and I returned home over 20 years ago. I’m part of One Voice because I genuinely care about Immingham, Habrough and Stallingborough. Not just the buildings or the roads (although avoiding potholes is a
local sport), but the people — the families, the volunteers, the young people, the older residents, and everyone who makes this community what it is.

When One Voice was created, it had one simple mission: bring the community together, strengthen local partnerships, and make sure residents had a real say in shaping the future of our area. That mission is exactly why I’m here too.

What I love most is that One Voice isn’t just a committee or a charity — it’s a proper community engine. We’re not just a group that meets around a table, we bring people together, we listen, we represent local voices, and we work with partners to
actually get things done.

Whether it’s supporting local regeneration, improving communication between organisation’s, or simply raising the profile of the town and local area so people feel proud to say, “Yes, I’m from Immingham! Or I’m from
Habrough! or I’m from Stallingborough!” — we’re here for it. And the benefits? They’re everywhere you look.
You see it in the projects that give young people opportunities. You see it in the events that bring neighbour’s together.
You see it in the support we offer to residents who need a hand, a signpost, or sometimes just a friendly face. Which by the way, there are some great friendly faces at our newly opened RoxOne Café at the Doctor’s surgery and they make some
cracking food and drinks, pop along and give them a try. You see it in the way we work to protect and improve our local environment. And you definitely see it in the way we champion our communities identity — loud,
proud, and full of heart. Being part of One Voice means being part of something bigger than any one of us. It
means rolling up our sleeves, having a laugh along the way, and doing our bit to make sure Immingham, Habrough and Stallingborough continue to thrive. It’s community in action — and I’m incredibly proud to play my part.
So thank you for being here, for caring, and for adding your voice to ours. Together, we’re building a stronger, prouder, more connected community. After all… it’s called One Voice for a reason.

My name is Karla.

I became a trustee of One Voice back in September 2025. I became a trustees of One Voice because I want to support community projects, influence local priorities, help secure funding, and improve services for residents in Immingham, Habrough, and Stallingborough.

One Voice focuses on community development, advice and support services, regeneration, education, health, poverty relief, and local partnerships.

It gives me motivation to

  • Want to make a tangible difference in the local community.
  • Support vulnerable residents and local voluntary groups.
  • Use my  professional skills to help the charity grow.
  • I have a personal connection to Immingham and its future.

Hi I’m Amy – Thirteen years ago, I joined One Voice as a wide-eyed youth representative with no idea where the journey would take me. Looking back at how the charity has grown and the impact it has made in our community has been incredible.

Two years ago, I became a trustee, and I’m proud to help support an organisation that brings people together, creates opportunities, and makes a real difference.

One Voice is about connection, growth, and impact, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve for our community in the years ahead.

Aimee – One Voice Trustee

Hi, my name is Aimee and i’m one the team of trustee’s at One Voice.

For 20 years i’ve worked in Local Government, with some of that time spent working across Immingham. I used to work at the local youth club in the town, and that’s where my passion for Immingham developed.

I chose to become a trustee to use the skills i gain in my job, to support the growth of One Voice. What i did not expect when i started was to fall in love again with Immingham, and the community.

Every time i get the pleasure of helping out on community events, or when i pop into the Rox One Cafe or an activity, am always blown away by how kind, caring and passionate the Immingham community is. It’s a unique town and a very special place.

This year i became the Vice Chair, working alongside Kev, our chair and Elaine our Project Manager on supporting some great developments.

What i love about One Voice, is the volunteers. Each person i have met is just amazing. They give so much to the charity and are our shining stars. Without our volunteers, their kindness and their commitment, we would be lost, and so would the town.
